Harty Jewell, PLLC is pleased to announce that Co-Founder and Partner, Erin E. Jewell, has been recognized as a 2024 Leader in the Law by Virginia Lawyers Weekly. Jewell is being honored in this 2024 “class” with twenty-six other Virginia lawyers for their outstanding contributions to the practice of law.
Jewell represents the injured, and her practice includes representation of those with asbestos-related diseases, including mesothelioma, as well as those injured in car and trucking crashes. She serves as a Vice President of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association (VTLA) and serves on the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice (AAJ) and is active in a number of litigation groups in both associations. She spends significant time working with these associations to protect her clients' rights to trial by jury, and to improve access to the court system.
Also active in giving back to her her community, Jewell has worked steadfastly to help victims of cancer. Most recently, Jewell and her fundraising team, the "Crown Jewells," raised over $47,000.00 to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Virginia. Jewell was also recognized as a runner-up for the Trial Lawyers Care award for her volunteerism.
Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s Leaders in the Law awards program recognizes the lawyers across the Commonwealth who are setting the standard for other attorneys in Virginia. “Leaders” are recognized for improving Virginia’s justice system, making significant achievements through the practice of law, and making important contributions to Virginia’s legal community and/or the community at large.
